Free Diabetes Tracker is for information and record-keeping only. It does not diagnose or treat any condition, and it does not replace advice from your GP, nurse, pharmacist, diabetes team or another healthcare professional.
The target ranges and categories shown next to your readings come from general UK guidance (Diabetes UK, NICE and the NHS). They are a starting point, not a personal target: your own targets are set with your diabetes team and may be different. Never change your insulin, medicines or how you manage your diabetes based on this app alone.
Please get personal advice if you
- are newly diagnosed, or not sure which type of diabetes you have
- are pregnant or planning a pregnancy (see diabetes in pregnancy)
- are managing a child's diabetes
- take insulin or medicines that can cause hypos and are unsure about your targets or doses
- feel unwell, or your readings are often outside your target range
In an emergency
A hypo (below 4.0 mmol/L) needs treating straight away. If someone is unconscious, having a seizure or cannot swallow, or has a very high reading with sickness, stomach pain, fast breathing or ketones, call 999 or go to A&E. For urgent advice, call 111. When to get help
